Handbuilding Clay - Winter Class 2008
Tuesdays starting January 15th, 6:00 - 9:00pm
This class is designed to teach a variety of techniques that are used in handbuilding clay vessels. Pinch, coil and slab construction are a few of the processes we will use to make mugs, pitchers, vases, plates, trays and birdhouses.
Basic Wheel-Throwing - Winter Class 2008
Mondays starting January 14th, 6:00 - 9:00pm
Saturdays starting January 19th, 10:00am - 1:00pm
This class will offer students an opportunity to learn the basics of wheel-throwing. Students can work at their own pace to create bowls and other forms.
Class Information
These 8-week classes will meet once a week for 3 hours with additional "Open Studio" time available for students.
Class Fee: $150.00 with an additional $25.00 lab fee. Lab fee includes 25 lb of clay including glazes and firing. Additional clay, glaze and firing will be available for an additional fee.
Students will also need a basic clay tool kit including a one gallon plastic bucket, pin tool, sponge, fettling knife and hand towel. Students may provide their own or purchase them at the first class.
